Hi, I am Tasha Cleaveland, a mom of 3 teenagers, wife, Interior Designer, and a woman who found my way back to myself, through embodied dance. Hard to believe, I know. How can dancing do that? But it did and I want to share with you how simply listening to your own body can change your life too.

6 years ago I began a journey of rediscovery to reclaim the parts of myself I had forgotten when I became a mom and a wife. When I cloaked my femininity with a mask of masculinity to shield myself from the pain. From needing. I manned up. I was the- I can do it all and I don’t need your help, mom. Like a robot. The “thats not how to change a diaper,” wife. Instead of being grateful that I didn’t have to change that diaper. I remember how dark it can be, how deeply alone and invisible it can feel when you live life as a machine. When you are constantly comparing yourself and never quite measuring up. When you go to that mom friends house and it looks like a Pinterest board, and yours looks like a Jackson Pollock painting. I didn’t give myself permission to find the beauty in my imperfection.
I want you to know you are right where you are supposed to be. And it is ok. Ok to have sofa pillows on the floor. Ok, to have dishes in the sink. Ok, to have second-hand furniture that looks nothing like Pinterest. Ok, to be hiding in the bathroom for one moment alone.
Im not perfect, and I won’t pretend to be. I will never say something was easy if it was not. If you complement something of mine, I tell you how it really came to be. My over the top “Sound of Music” kids party? Its cause I drank espresso and didn’t sleep for two weeks. My favorite Calvin Klein dress? Thrift store score for 15 bucks. I will not let you compare yourself to a false image. I won’t. Because my authenticity makes yours feel normal. Unlike social media, I want you to feel BETTER after you are with me, not worse. And I want to celebrate you. To celebrate us. Because you showed up, right now in this very moment, and so did I. You are not alone.
I want to guide you on your own path of reclamation. To live your life more fully, more authentically and nurture your body and soul every single day, in tiny ways and in big ones. To be the voice that reminds you that you aren’t alone, leads you back into your body, and helps you remember how to fill up before emptying out. I am here to tell you, this life you are living is not how it has to be, if you are willing to listen closely, to yourself.
Each morning take me along while you start your day. Do the dishes, feed the kids, throw the laundry in. And know I’m right there with you. I will share a bit of my journey to living an embodied life, where I let my body lead me, to create the home and relationships I craved, and the lessons and hacks I have learned along the way. And I will share an insight from my previous night’s journal, and we can take those baby steps together.
To prime us up for our day, I will give you a song to cue up on a separate device, and we will move together. Each day will be a different musical flavor to dive into and notice how your body responds as it washes over you, and I guide you in easy movement and embodied prompts. Sometimes we just need someone to remind us how to find our way back home, and whisper “you can do this. keep going.”
